Tomorrow is Picture Day so please send your child in his/her VBS 2016 T-Shirt!

2. WEEK 2 FIELD TRIPS: 필드 트립 7/15 Friday
***Please wear VBS T-Shirt! 금요일 필드트립에 티셔츠를 입고 오기 바랍니다. ***
1st-8th Graders -  PLEASE ARRIVE TO CHURCH AT 8:30 AM!!!!!
1학년-8학년은 아침 8:30 시까지 교회에 오기 바랍니다.

The Early Childhood Field Trip  "Imagine That Discovery"  Pick Up Time- 3 PM
Please bring lunch & snacks. 점심과 스낵 보내시고 픽업은 3시입니다.

The 1st-8th graders  "Keansburg Adventure Water Park" Pick Up Time- 4 PM
Please wear swimwear under VBS shirt.  수영복을 입고 오기 바랍니다.
Bring your own lunch, snack, sunscreen, towel & extra clothes! 점심과 스낵, 자외선 차단용 로션, 타올 그리고 extra 옷을 갖고 오기 바랍니다. 픽업은 4시입니다.

3. LUNCH SIGN UPS: 점심 당번
If you have not signed up, please do so. If you cannot make it on the day you'd signed up, please let us know in advance. We will switch you to a different day.
점심 당번으로 Sign up 하시고 오시지 않는 분들이 많습니다. 못 오실 경우 미리 연락을 해 주시고 다른 날로 바꾸시기 바랍니다.
4. DRESS CODE POLICY:
Due to safety reasons, students should not be wearing Crocs or Flip Flops. Especially if you know your children are playing sports, please send them with sneakers on.

5. REMINDER ABOUT ELECTRONIC USAGE:
Please discuss with your children about our policy on iPads, Tablets, and Phones.  They are to be used only during designated classroom hours. All electronics must be put away in backpacks, not pockets. If these devices are seen being played with outside of required classroom hours (i.e., during worship, lunch, etc.) they will be taken by the staff and given back when appropriate.

6. BAKING ELECTIVE SUPPLIES
Please have students bring whisk, measuring cups & measuring spoons with their name on it.

Palisades Summer VBS Email 7/4

Hello all Summer VBS parents,

We are very excited to meet you and your children tomorrow.

Just few reminders & announcements,

1) Please arrive 20 mins early to sign in and sign up for lunch volunteer. 

Please find your grade and receive 1 praise song cd, 1 t-shirt, elective schedules (1st-8th only) & the book teachers ordered. (5th-"Wonder", 7th & 8th- "Wave")

2) New VBS Parents, Please attend parent orientation in the fellowship hall down stairs. It will start at 9 am and we will be going over rules & regulations.

3) Please have your child bring his/her own water bottle everyday! They could refill water during VBS.

4) Snack Time for Pre-K 3 to 5th. Please pack nut free healthy snack for your children. Teachers will be giving 5-10 mins snack break in the morning.

5) No Filp Flops or Crocs!!  Please wear sneakers. If your child signed up for basketball or Outdoor rec., they must wear sneakers to participate. 

6) 7/6 Field Trips- 1st & 2nd "Legoland" Please pack snacks & lunch in a brown bag. Must wear socks to play. Pick up time is 3 pm from Church.

                           3rd to 8th "Broadway Show-Matilda" Regular schedule in the morning & lunch. We'll depart at 12:30pm and Pick up time will be at 6:30pm.

7) If your child did not sign up for 7/6 field trips, 1st & 2nd graders stay home. 3rd-8th will be released at 12:20 pm  (right after lunch)

8) Electives- Logo Club- If your child signed up, please bring in your own legos in a container.

2016 Palisades Summer VBS Announcements

Welcome Summer VBS Family!!

We have few announcements as our vbs is quickly approaching.

1)First Day- Please arrive 15 mins early to check in. We will have the table set up by each grades and will be distributing T-shirts/ CDs/ Elective Schedules.

                 
2)Allergy Medications- Please bring in your child's Epi-pens & Benedryls with name and grade written on the box on the first day of VBS.

3)Parents Orientation- It is mandatory for NEW PARENTS to attend  parent orientation on the first day. It will start at 9:15 am in the fellowship hall.

4)Lunch Menu- Please see the attachment.

5)Lunch Volunteer Sign Up Sheet- Please see the attachment and sign up for at least once within 6 weeks.

6)Tutoring Sign Up- Pease see the attachment and sign up.

7)Before & After Care Sign Up- Please see the attachment and sign up.

8)***IMPORTANT*** Field Trip Change

1st and 2nd grade's Legoland Field Trip is changed to Wednesday 7/6 because of legoland mistakenly double booked us with another camp. Therefore, We'll be switching Wednesday(7/6) & Friday (7/8)schedules. If your child did not sign up for Legoland Field Trip, please stay home on Wed. 7/6 and come in on Friday 7/8. 

9)Additional Elective Class to Sign Up- We are offering a new elective!

PUBLIC SPEAKING AND LEADERSHIP!

This class is for students grades 4-8 and will teach your child how to write a speech, give an engaging presentation, and be a great and effective leader. This class will be taught by Katie Cooke who has a lot of experience in both fields from her time at Bergen County Academies and Columbia University.

Please email us if you are interested in enrolling your child in this new elective!

10)Early Childhood's (Pre-K 3, Pre-K 4 & Kinder)-  1st week's "High Exposure" Field Trip Waiver Form. Please click below to fill out online waiver for your child to participate.
